§ To provide and maintain a working
environment that is safe and without risks to physical and mental health of the
staff, patients, visitors and also the general public.
§ To provide proper and sufficient materials,
provide and maintain suitable and adequate facilities for staff.
§ To provide adequate supervision for new
staff and trainees.
§ To provide competent staff:
o
Making
sure that all staff are properly trained in their respective roles;
o
hiring
competent staff with the necessary knowledge and qualifications;
o
warning,
suspending or dismissing any employees who engage in unsafe conduct causing
danger to others;
o
making
sure that all employees have good knowledge of occupational health and safety
and hazards at work and know what to do when incident happens.
§ Consult with all employees about any change
or input to WHS policy.
§ Monitor working conditions to prevent
injury/incident/accident and illness to all staff and patients.
§ Keep accurate records about
accidents/incident happened.
